Marketing on a Shoestring Budget

 

Entrepreneurs and business owners alike are very good in their trade, but they often miss the critical knowledge to market their businesses effectively. This workshop is ideal for entrepreneurs and small business owners who have a limited budget for their marketing activities or enough time to focus on their marketing plan.

 

The first part of this workshop is to help entrepreneurs develop a quick marketing plan. The presenter will help them quickly organize all the essential marketing information such as the unique products or services, benefits, targeted customers, and SWOT analysis in a visual map, called the Marketing Canvas. Businesses will be able to identify what they are marketing, whom they are marketing to, and how they can reach potential customers with the right messages and relevant marketing tools.

 

The second part of the workshop will be a marketing primer that outlines different marketing ideas such as blogging, SEO, email marketing, and inexpensive tools that a business owner could use to enhance their marketing activities.  The workshop will be interactive, and the attendees will leave with useful tips on how to increase their branding, marketing and outreach to potential customers.

 

Attendees will learn how to:

 

·      Create a visual marketing plan and the ability to pivot to different industries or audiences when needed.

·      Develop a marketing strategy and customers’ personas.

·      Learn 7 different marketing tactics that work.

 

Our presenter will be Susu Wong who is the Founder and Principal of Tomo360, a Lowell-based marketing agency that helps small to medium-sized businesses and nonprofits in their digital marketing and online promotions.  She was an Adjunct Professor in Marketing at University of Massachusetts Lowell, and a frequent speaker/instructor at entrepreneur and small business centers.
